(74:1-7)- “You wrapped up in your cloak- arise and deliver warning. Proclaim the glory of your Lord, purify your Garments, shun uncleanliness, do not bestow a favor in the expectation of receiving more in return and for the sake of your Lord, be patient.”
These are the commands that were given to the most influential man in the history of Mankind,
- Arise and deliver warning that one day mankind will have to give account to the God of Love. Quran (1:3-4) –“Ar-Rahman-i-Ar-Raheem Maliki Yaumi Ad-Deen” “The Intensely loving and caring, The Continously loving and caring, is the Master of the day of recompense”
- Proclaim the glory of your Lord, tell mankind that their Sustainer Lord is the Lord of everyone and not just of one tribe or nation. Quran (1:2) – “All praise and thanks belongs to Allah, the Sustainer Lord of all the creatures”
- Purify your Garments, wash off the worldly dust, put on the purest garment Taqwa i.e. God Consciousness (Allah is Ar-Rahman Ar-Raheem). Quran (7:26) – “Indeed the best cloth is that of Taqwa”
- Shun uncleanliness, should avoid attachment to anything except to Ar-Rahman, Ar- Raheem, for any other attachment is nothing but impurity
- Do not bestow a favor in the expectation of receiving more in return, thus the prophet said, (76:9): “We seek neither recompense nor thanks”, it is another sunnat of our beloved prophet (pbuh)
- And for the sake of your Lord be patient, and do not seek revenge. Quran (16:125-128) – “Invite all to the way of your lord, with wisdom and beautiful preaching and if you argue then do in gracious ways…you can take equal revenge but patience is better. And do you be patient for patience is from Allah. Do not worry about their conspiracies, indeed Allah is with those who are conscious of Him and do good”
